I built floorplanning.app because I wanted to plan tiles and pedestals for a terrace. I quickly saw how much work can hide in a seemingly simple area.

Where it started
I wanted to see what would happen first.
For my own terrace, the square metres were not enough. I wanted to know where each slab would go, where I would need to cut, and how many pedestals I would really need.
A normal calculator does not show those details. So I built a tool that shows the layout on the floor plan. I could compare options and adjust the plan before losing material and time on site.
That is why floorplanning.app exists.
